About Our District

CAL Elementary, located in north central Iowa, is comprised of approximately 120  students in grades Pre-K through 6, drawing from the communities of Coulter, Alexander and Latimer.  Currently CAL has a Whole Grade Sharing agreement with Hampton-Dumont Community School District, in which students in grades 7-12 from CAL attend Hampton-Dumont.

Our students are housed in one building. The North Iowa Community Action Organization houses a Head Start Preschool program in the building.  Cub Cadet Childhood Center is located directly behind the school building and also utilizes classrooms in the CAL building.
