
More kindergarten measurement and geometry math station fun.






This past week, Kindergarten has been reviewing math concepts through hands-on learning activities. Monday, they worked on the geometry math standards by analyzing, comparing, and composing shapes and using shapes to create pictures.









5th graders with their egg drop projects! Students designed and tested padding to protect an egg from a fall of two meters. Each group created a unique structure to save their egg and had fun throughout the whole process!









1st grade enjoyed their culture food today! We have been talking about traditions, cultures, and where our families are from in social studies so some families brought in food from their culture!









3rd grade has been busy replanting various flower varieties for the upcoming sale in May.





Even the big kids enjoy chalk and bubbles!







1st grade has been learning about measurement in math! They were able to measure some friends last week.





Reading ROCKS! 4th grade has been learning about geology. Today, they dug into the rock cycle with a Starburst science lab, creating the 3 different , yet tasty, types of rock. At another learning station, they got a little cheesy with macaroni quotation mark practice!










Chicks are starting to hatch in our 3rd grade classroom!



2nd grade students are reviewing subject and predicates by coding the Spheros along sentence strips. They also practiced vowel teams with a hula hoop jump.

2nd grade students went on an adjective egg hunt today. They were tasked to search for eggs and find the adjective in each sentence.











CAL students Hallie, Brandon, and Laurel donated many boxes of cereal to the West Fork food pantry today! The kids got chocolate bunnies from the staff and a round of applause from the people waiting to get food.



CAL student Max donated many boxes of cereal to La Luz in Hampton.


4th grade excitedly welcome some new members to our farm! Earlier this year, the class embarked on an investigation unit about turkeys and turkey production. Our class was very interested in this unit and through an Iowa Agriculture Literacy Foundation Grant, we were able to purchase books, materials, and turkeys to add to our farm to teach others about raising turkeys! One group of our 4th graders chose to work on our turkey plans as a service learning project. They did more extensive studying and prepared for their arrival. Welcome turkeys!








1st grade had fun the last couple days with volcanos and layers of earth with different stations in the CELL. Used the litebrite to build layers of earth, made volcanos, did merge cubes and VR googles with different things of the earth!











1st grade enjoyed the nice weather as they earned their PBIS reward and played dodgeball outside!
